Tunisian Crochet is an amazing crochet technique. Often compared to knitting, it is worked with only one hook (sometimes long, sometimes short) with the right side facing. As with crochet, there are many variations – lace stitches, colour work, intarsia, entrelac, working in rows, working in rounds – the list is endless!
During the week you will learn the basic Tunisian stitches, casting on and off, working in rows, how to change colour and how to follow a pattern chart. By the end of the week you will be well on your way to completing your first project of a stunning Heart Motif Tunisian Crochet Cushion.
Tunisian crochet is easy to learn and lends itself perfectly to designing your own patterns and bringing your ideas to life in a beautiful and tactile fabric. The only limit is your own imagination!
Courses at Marlborough Summer School are always amazing. There is lots to entertain students when they are not in class – whether it’s the Abba Tribute Band, and Evening with Giles Brandreth, Kathryn Roberts and Sean Wakeman or The Kings of Cool as well as Taiko Drumming, Yoga and quiz nights.
The cost for the week is £205 and you can find more details here – although places are limited so you’ll need to book quickly!
